What motivates me to help..
At 1 month of age, my daughter Ella gave me the most touching and memorable gift. She smiled. When her chubby cheeks started raising to her tiny ears for the first time, I welled up with so much emotion. Her grin is now such a vital part of my happiness.
I am so fortunate to have a healthy and happy daughter, as well as a fun and supporting wife, Melissa. While Melissa and I both work hard, we understand that we were born into an environment that supported us to pursue our goals and dreams.
Melissa, as a social worker for the homeless always kept me focused on those who have the most need during my medical school and residency training. Now that I am a board certified anesthesiologist, I have a skill that I can offer to anyone in order to promote healing.
With her encouragement, I have decided to work with Operation Smile to raise awareness about and directly work with children born with Cleft lip and palate.
Giving back as a way to multiply the amount of smiles in the world is what motivates me. If you too feel inspired to help this cause, please donate to my fundraising page to support this incredible organization.
Together, We Can Change Lives
Operation Smile mobilizes a world of generous hearts to heal children’s smiles and transform lives across the globe. Operation Smile’s network of volunteers works worldwide to repair childhood facial deformities including cleft lips and cleft palates.
I hope you'll help me bring hope and new smiles to children suffering from facial deformities.
