Afi Johnson-Parris

Greensboro attorney Afi Johnson-Parris is passionate about positively impacting the local community both as a family law practitioner and an advocate for causes that improve the lives of those in her community. Afi is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to attending law school, she attended the University of Miami on an ROTC scholarship and later served as an officer in the Air Force. During her service, she continued in her pursuit of education, earning an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix - Southern Colorado Campus. In 2013, Afi joined forces with Ward Black Law, combining her existing family law practice with the opportunity to also pursue her passion for helping veterans through a veterans disability practice.
Afi desires to leave a footprint of hope with every step she takes. Dancing with the Carolina Stars gives her the opportunity to take those steps on the dance floor!

“A smile, although a simple gesture, is one of the greatest gifts one can offer. It can brighten someone’s day, share in someone’s joy or show someone love. I can’t think of a better way to inspire hope than to give the gift of a smile through the amazing efforts of Operation Smile.”

About Operation Smile

Operation Smile is an international medical charity whose global network of thousands of credentialed medical volunteers from over 80 countries is committed to helping improve the health and lives of children from more than 60 countries. Since 1982, we've worked with local medical professionals, governments, hospitals and other NGOs to deliver the safest care to each of our patients, and have established care centers wherever possible to give children ongoing medical treatment.

Operation Smile continues to provide training and education for local medical professionals so they can provide care within their own communities and share their expertise. To date, we have provided more than 220,000 free surgeries for children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.
