Saving Smiles for Healthier Lives
We’re proud to have supported the international children’s medical charity, Operation Smile. In total, we raised $10,000 to help save the smiles of more than 40 children born with cleft lips and/or cleft palates.
Operation Smile mobilizes more than 5,000 volunteer medical professionals from 76 countries to provide free reconstructive surgeries for children born with cleft deformities. These children often have trouble eating, speaking and socializing and are often outcasts from society.
We want to thank those who continue to join us in bringing about positive change to the following facts:
- Around the world, approximately 1 in every 600 children is born each year with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate.
- 1 in 10 children born with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate die before their 1st birthday.
- In as few as 45 minutes and with as little as $240, a single surgery can heal a child’s smile.
We have completed our donation goal of $10,000 to Operation Smile through a portion of proceeds from discount dental plan sales, social media contests and direct contributions from this fundraising page.
We welcome you to join us in continuing our support to Operation Smile. The world always looks brighter from behind a smile. To help make the world brighter for children born with cleft deformities, you can make a direct donation by clicking "Donate Now" in the right sidebar.

My grandson was born with a cleft lip and palate . He had three surgeries before he was one year old. He is now getting ready to have another surgery. Why doesn't Operation Smile help children in the US even if they have insurance? I never could get anyone from Operation Smile to even talk to me.

Its been a long time since the Jefferson Awards, its so nice to see your great work changing lives one smile at a time is ongoing and going strong! Jojo is a solo artist, actor and dancer just home from tour, of ocurse most performers dont have benefits so I upgraded to a family plan. Who would think he would need a dentist so soon, he had pain went to dentist, referred to orthodontist who referred him to oral surgeon...he is in recovery as we speak and doing well. So good to see the television ad's with all the "smiles". Let me know if anything we can do to promote or assist. firstname.lastname@example.org
Take good care, Cheryl
