Hellooooo, Operation Smile Supporter! Rob "Yakko" Paulsen here. Thanks so much for your support over the years of me and my "toons." I have been blessed beyond my wildest dreams with a career and life that has brought me so much joy and laughter, and I hope some of my characters have done the same for you. I truly appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to help me bring the gift of a smile to children all around the world who, without your help, might spend their lives ostracized from society or even their families, not to mention suffering from serious health issues.
My involvement with Operation Smile has been yet another blessing to me and it actually is a perfect fit. I mean, my job is to give voice to animated characters which hopefully make kids (young and old) laugh, right? Unfortunately, many children are physically unable or are too embarrassed to laugh or even smile due to their cleft lip and cleft palates. The gifted, selfless medical and logistical staff at Operation Smile permanently change the lives of these kids, and all they ask is for a few bucks to pay for supplies and the cost of getting the docs to the kids. The miracles they perform last a lifetime and I get a new fan 'er two. Cool, right?! Seriously though, I cannot imagine a life without smiling or laughing. Can you?
