We are excited to announce that our 31st  annual International Student Leadership Conference, ISLC 2023 will be hosted in Lima, Peru, from July 17-23!

This will be our first conference in Latin America and we are excited to engage our students from around the world! In 2022, our conference included more than 200 participants from 20 different countries. These superstar students learned about global health issues and how they can be a part of the solution.

Who: High schoolers, including rising freshmen, current freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors (classes 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027) and undergraduate students age 22 or younger by the time of the conference.

What:#ISLC2023 is an incredible opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills, learn more about Operation Smile and hear from inspiring speakers all while meeting new friends from all around the world!

When and where:#ISLC2023 will take place from July 17-23, 2023, at DECAMERON EL PUEBLO resort in Lima, Peru.

Registration Fee: $500

Operation Smile celebrated its 40th anniversary with a big call to action for the next 10 years: Care for 1 million unique patients with cleft and other surgical conditions.

We're going to need a force of bright, compassionate student volunteers like you to accomplish this important goal. That's why Operation Smile has decided to set a flat fee for our 2023 ISLC conference this year. Where our previous registration fee was $1,000, this year we have decided to set a flat fee of $500 for all participants.

The registration fee includes accommodation, meals, ground transportation to and from the airport and items associated with conference activities. It does not include airfare to and from Peru or the cost to obtain a visa, if applicable. Please note that ground transportation is only covered if participants arrive within the time parameters outlined in our terms and conditions agreement, conference packet and travel form.

A nonrefundable fee of $250 USD is due from all participants upon registration. The remaining payment will be requested and due by May 31, 2023, at the latest. Specifics about payments will be released to participants after registration. If you've already paid in full over the $500 fee, you will receive a refund for the difference.
