Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft. These children encounter incredible obstacles. Ostracized from a life of everyday normalcy they are ridiculed, unable to properly eat or speak, attend school and are vulnerable to a higher rate of respiratory infection as well as other infectious diseases and malnutrition. In too many cases, they face uncertain futures because of limited access to healthcare and strained financial resources.

At Operation Smile we believe every child deserves exceptional surgical care. We believe that all children deserve to be treated as if they were our own.

Friday, April 21, 2017, marks Operation Smile’s 4th annual Houston Smile Gala at Hotel Zaza. Since its inception, the Houston Smile Gala has raised over $500,000, enough funds to provide life changing cleft lip and cleft palate surgery for over 2,100 children.
