The 2017 New York Smile Event will celebrate 35 years of providing free surgeries for children and young adults in developing countries who are born with cleft lip, cleft palate or other facial deformities. Operation Smile has extended its global reach to more than 60 countries through its network of credentialed surgeons, pediatricians, doctors, nurses, and student volunteers.

At Operation Smile we believe every child deserves exceptional surgical care. That’s what drives each and every one of us: our staff, global network of medical professionals and our supporters who are moved every day to make a difference in the lives of children they’ve never met. The facts are staggering: each year more people die because of lack of access to surgical care than from HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria combined. 

The 2017 New York Smile Event will mark Operation Smile’s 15th Annual Event in New York City on Thursday, May 17th at West Edge NYC. The evening will include a gallery exhibit, heavy hors d'oeuvres, cocktails & dancing. New York business and community leaders, celebrity Smile Ambassadors and philanthropically-minded individuals have agreed to lend their support to ensure children around the world are given a new smile.
