Allison Bailey

Born and raised in Virginia, Allison grew up with a love for music, dance, water skiing and spending time with her friends and family. Allison is a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s School of Music. Since then, she has become a Greensboro local, enjoying the great perks of the city including live theatre, farm-to-table dining, beautiful parks and great music events. Above all, Allison has formed strong bonds within the community. By working and living in this welcoming Southern town, she has gained many great, unlikely friendships that have made significant imprint on her own life. She feels fortunate to be a part of a community that always “pays it forward” with a polite gesture or a kind word. Allison is employed by Cone Health, where she enjoys meeting new people daily and working alongside great folks who provide exceptional care to North Carolina communities.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of Dancing with the Carolina Stars and raising funds for Operation Smile! I first learned of this event years ago from a friend who was featured as a Star, and ever since I have wanted to be involved. I am so amazed that for as little as $240, Operation Smile can provide surgery that impacts a child’s life so greatly. What a life-changing, joyous thing! Thank you to every person who made a donation, purchased a ticket or told a friend about the wonderful work of Operation Smile!”

About Operation Smile

Operation Smile is an international medical charity whose global network of thousands of credentialed medical volunteers from over 80 countries is committed to helping improve the health and lives of children from more than 60 countries. Since 1982, we've worked with local medical professionals, governments, hospitals and other NGOs to deliver the safest care to each of our patients, and have established care centers wherever possible to give children ongoing medical treatment.

Operation Smile continues to provide training and education for local medical professionals so they can provide care within their own communities and share their expertise. To date, we have provided more than 220,000 free surgeries for children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.
