Dr. Michael Price

While a relative newcomer to North Carolina, Dr. Michael Price has grown to call the state home over the past few years. He was born and raised in New York and completed his undergraduate and medical studies in Pennsylvania before completing his surgical training in Florida. It was during medical school that his family relocated to North Carolina, and he knew he had to follow suit once he completed his surgical residency.

Michael recently began practicing at the Triad Foot & Ankle Center. In addition to being part of the Cone Health Medical Group, the practice is known for being one of the largest podiatry groups in the state. In this role, he has enjoyed providing exceptional care to the Greensboro and Asheboro communities. He is proud to be the second physician from the practice to compete in Dancing with the Carolina Stars.

As a surgeon, Michael knows firsthand how much a surgical procedure can improve a patient’s life. He feels a special connection to Operation Smile and is looking forward to raising money for such a worthy cause.

Outside of the office, Dr. Price enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with his family.

About Operation Smile

Operation Smile is an international medical charity whose global network of thousands of credentialed medical volunteers from over 80 countries is committed to helping improve the health and lives of children from more than 60 countries. Since 1982, we've worked with local medical professionals, governments, hospitals and other NGOs to deliver the safest care to each of our patients, and have established care centers wherever possible to give children ongoing medical treatment.

Operation Smile continues to provide training and education for local medical professionals so they can provide care within their own communities and share their expertise. To date, we have provided more than 220,000 free surgeries for children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.
